Any Given Saturday

So here we go, at 5:00pm today Drexel will take on No.24 South Florida in their final match of the Embassy Suits Kick-Off Classic down at Florida Gulf Coast University.  Drexel is coming off a near epic comeback win over Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday night.  In the 106th minute Drexel was heartbreaking forced to settle for the tie when FGCU's goalkeeper saved a Nathan Page penalty kick that would have seen the Dragons jump to 5-0-0 on the season.  Instead we sit at a respectable 4-0-1 and are set to face No.24 South Florida in both team's second game of the tournament.  No.24 South Florida is resting in a much more comfortable position than Drexel, having grabbed a 2-1 win over No.9 Ohio State (now No.5) in their game on Thursday night (and they didn't have to play two full overtime periods in brutally sticky gulf coast humidity and heat).  A little piece of good news for Drexel fans, No.24 South Florida is 3-1-1 on the season, their only loss was the first game of the season to Florida Gulf Coast...

The boys certainly have their work cut out for them, but ladies and gentlemen that's why we play the games!  Make sure you follow the Dragons on LIVE STATS later this evening.  Lock your cats in another room, have the neighbor take the dog for a walk, put away your good china, and if you have a history of alcohol and child abuse... please please please let aunt Janice take the kids to a movie tonight.  This is gonna be a good one!

Here is the insider scoop on the starting line-up for tonight:

Vigs          Kenny Tribbet          Dido          Skylar

Manny                                    Baf

Nathan "Gerrard" Page an Page Nathan Page
Malcom text to get mannys name out to the left side of the page

Tal Bubil will not be playing center back tonight because of Yom Kippur so Kenny Tribbet will slide back to fill that spot.  Manny will get the starting nod in midfield with Kenny's spot being vacated after his move to center back.  All the others are relatively typical starters but keep in mind that Doug will likely utilize quite a few substitutions to help with what has to be a tired team after the double overtime game Thursday night.

BEST OF LUCK BOYS!  GO GET UM!
